I was at work & in a large crowd of people, we were talking about Obamas rise in the polls & the Oprah news came on the TV. I remembered a few years ago, the rumblings of Oprah running for office & I said, "Hey, I wonder if maybe this is all to test the waters for a possible Obama /Oprah ticket?" You could have heard a pin hit the carpet! Shocked Embarassed

Now this was a mostly die-hard Democratic crowd and all were very open to Obama if he should win the Primary. That is, until I suggested a this ticket. These Die-hards said for the very first time they would stay home. They said they would never vote Republican, EVER! But they just could not support an all black ticket.
It is said that Oprah has the women's vote. I wouldn’t be so sure. It was the women in the crowd that just shut down, the men were more open to even discuss it, but again suggested they would probably follow suit & sit it out. Amazing!

I have nothing against Obama except his lack of experience, we have had enough on the job training!

Why not Oprah? What would happen if he chose any other black VP?
I think everybody is afraid to even bring it up! Shocked

What an interesting concept!

Want to switch it around ?? Twisted Evil Wink

Would it have been equally unacceptable had you paired Hillary and Oprah? Shocked Shocked I wonder if the men would have "sucked air" or still been willing to discuss it??

Observation from the breakroom where I work....the guys are quick to voice their support and voting intentions for Hillary!! Shocked Regarding Obama...that thing about him not putting his hand over his heart during the National Anthem has many of the men upset. They question his patriotism. Go figure!!

As far as I'm concerned....I'm still going with Hillary and that's inspite of the illegal immigration situation that I'm totally against. Close the borders!!

In Texas we are still faced with the Trans Texas Corridor. This issue is not going away! TXDOT is organizing a " re-education " format to " show us the errors of our thinking". As Texas is the crucial leg of this NAFTA super highway, Perry and Bush are not going to let us get away with stopping the North American Union and they need this highway to connect with Canada. Is it any wonder that our southern border stays open inspite of the efforts of many Texans?? Smells like money to me and those pushing this don't care what the costs are to Texas or to our country.

After 8 years of George Bush, I'll be voting for whoever wins the Democratic Primary. Issues are just issues...they won't go away regardless of who is in the Whitehouse. I'm beginning to get the notion that whoever is really running this country keeps starting "fires" just to keep us busy trying to put them out while they continue with their business.

I may get screwed, but I'm not laying down for it. Embarassed Embarassed
